Leading manufacturer of Nylon 6
Since 50 years, Aquafil has been one of the leading players, both in Italy and globally, in the production of Polyamide 6: a landmark in terms of quality and product innovation.
Additionally, the Group is a leader in the research of new production models for sustainable development. This commitment to research and development leads to the regular renewal of processes and products thanks to continuous investments of capital and knowledge.
For more than 30 years Aquafil has placed the circular economy as a core value of the company’s business strategy in order to save resources, give new life to otherwise lost materials and increase efficiency along the value chain. Through this never-ending search for excellence and innovation, together with the commitment to sustainability, the Group aims to become a benchmark for the entire sector.
In 2011, the company designed the ECONYL® regeneration system, a production model which allows Aquafil to obtain regenerated raw material from recycling nylon waste.
Today, ECONYL® regenerated nylon is used for textile flooring by world-renowned designers and architects and by luxurious brands for the fashion sector.
